This is a very funny combination of Kurt Vonnegut's books. But as with all of his books, being funny is just the whipped cream on top. The unique point of view and the ability to put it into words is what I cherish about Vonnegut's work. Delightful...informative...entertaining...wise...gentle...these descriptions don't begin to touch the gift he gave his readers in every book.
Some were better than others but that is like saying some days are better than others...on even the rainy days you're glad you lived it. Same with his books...you're always glad to have had the opportunity to take in what was in them.
I'll just finish with this to tempt you if you haven't seen it...the scene in "Between Time and Timbuctu" where Julius LaRosa has been chosen as a desireable speciman to help reanimate the human race because of the threat of Ice-9 is beyond praise. Can I please have/buy a copy before I turn 75?
