Upright Citizens Brigade
Thursday, November 8; 6:00 to 7:30 pm

UCB: the comedy group whose New York–based improv comedy theater and "training camp" has seen graduates go on to Saturday Night Live and The Daily Show. UCB's series on Comedy Central—starring Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, Ian Roberts, and Matt Walsh—inspired a cult audience hooked on the troupe's dizzying takes on modern absurdity. We have coaxed these masterminds from their secret lair to discuss the methods behind their madness, and perhaps give a demonstration of the "Harold."

Fun Facts, Floaters, Top Tens, and Stupid Humans: The Writers of Late Show with David Letterman
Friday, November 9; 5:30 to 7:00 pm

We will gather the warped minds behind Dave's antics to discuss the aesthetics of the Late Show's comedy, the process of producing material for a nightly show, and to tackle the burning question: will it float?

Scrubs: The Farewell Tour
Saturday, November 10; 3:30 to 5:00 pm

People who appreciate smart, surreal, and innovative comedy have long been familiar with the staff of Sacred Heart Hospital. After a successful seven-season run, NBC's Scrubs bids farewell. It has been hailed as unstintingly creative by the Peabody committee, who bestowed its prestigious award upon the elite surgical group earlier this year. Screening of a Scrubs episode will be followed by discussion and Q&A with cast and creative team.
