On the eve of its premiere at LA’s Mark Taper Forum, the creative team behind the Donmar Warehouse production of Parade, including writers Alfred Uhry and Jason Robert Brown, examine the media frenzy surrounding the real-life case that inspired the Tony-winning musical while offering a behind-the-scenes look at the LA production. In addition, clips pertaining to the actual Leo Frank trial, where the Jewish owner of a pencil factory in Georgia was tried and convicted, then hanged by a lynch mob for the rape and murder of a thirteen-year-old factory worker that subsequent facts prove he did not commit, will be shown from the series The Jewish Americans and the 1988 miniseries dramatization The Murder of Mary Phagan.
