Frank A. Bennack, Jr.

Frank A. Bennack, Jr., chairman of The Paley Center for Media, is the chief executive officer of Hearst Corporation, one of the nation's largest private companies engaged in a broad range of publishing, broadcasting, cable networking and diversified communications activities. He is in his second tenure as CEO and in his first, served as Hearst's CEO for more than 23 years. He is also presently vice chairman of the Hearst Board of Directors and chairman of the Corporation's Executive Committee. Bennack is also director of Polo Ralph Lauren Corporation. He is chairman of The National Magazine Company Limited of Great Britain, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hearst Corporation. Bennack is also a governor and vice chairman of New York-Presbyterian Hospital and its Healthcare System, a managing director of the Metropolitan Opera of New York, and chairman of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts.

Jeffrey Bewkes

Jeff Bewkes is chairman and CEO of Time Warner Inc. He was elected CEO of the company in January 2008, and began serving as chairman in January 2009. His previous positions at the company include president and COO, as well as chairman of the entertainment and networks group. Before joining the corporate management of Time Warner, Mr. Bewkes was chairman and CEO of HBO. He serves on a number of boards, including The Paley Center for Media’s Board of Governors.

Philippe Dauman

Philippe Dauman was named president and CEO of Viacom Inc., the world’s leading entertainment content company, in September 2006 and has served on its Board of Directors since 1987. Viacom’s global reach includes more than 160 channels and 400 online properties in 160 countries and territories. Previously, Mr. Dauman was cochairman and CEO of DND Capital Partners, L.L.C., a private equity firm specializing in media and telecommunications investments, and served in several positions at Viacom, including deputy chairman and EVP of Viacom Inc. He is a member of The Paley Center for Media’s Board of Trustees.

Pat Mitchell

Pat Mitchell was appointed president and chief executive officer of The Paley Center for Media (formerly The Museum of Television & Radio) effective March 15, 2006. Mitchell came to the Paley Center from the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), where she was named president and chief executive officer in March 2000, the first woman and first producer and journalist to hold the position. She is credited with leading public broadcasting into the digital future with such initiatives as the conversion from analog to digital broadcasting, the launch of a high-definition PBS channel and an on-demand and cable preschool children's service, the growth of PBS's website into one of the three most visited sites on the Internet, and the establishment of the Digital Future Initiative to help define models for public service media using new digital technologies.

Leslie Moonves

As president and CEO of CBS Corporation, Leslie Moonves oversees all operations of the company, including the CBS Television Network, The CW, CBS Television Stations, CBS Television Studios, CBS Television Distribution Group, Showtime, CBS Radio, CBS Records, CBS Outdoor, Simon & Schuster, CBS Interactive, CBS Consumer Products, CBS Home Entertainment, and CBS Films. Prior to the Viacom separation in 2005, Mr. Moonves served as copresident and co-COO of Viacom and chairman of CBS, overseeing all of Viacom's domestic and international broadcast television operations, its radio division, and its outdoor advertising operations. Previously, he held a variety of executive positions at Warner Bros. Television, Lorimar Television, and Twentieth Century Fox Television. He is a member of The Paley Center for Media’s Board of Trustees.

Ivan Seidenberg

Verizon Communications

Ivan Seidenberg, chairman and CEO of Verizon Communications, was instrumental in forming the company through a number of mergers and acquisitions, including Bell Atlantic and NYNEX (1997), GTE (2000), and MCI (2006). He also helped create what is now Verizon Wireless in 1999 by bringing together the assets of Bell Atlantic Mobile, GTE Wireless, and the US properties of Vodafone AirTouch. Prior to the creation of Verizon, Mr. Seidenberg was chairman and CEO of Bell Atlantic and NYNEX. He began his communications career more than forty years ago as a cable splicer’s assistant. In 2007, President George W. Bush named Seidenberg to the National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee, which advises the president on communications issues related to national security, emergency preparedness, and the protection of critical infrastructure. He is a member of The Paley Center for Media’s Board of Trustees.

Anne Sweeney

Anne Sweeney serves as cochair of Disney Media Networks and president of Disney/ABC Television Group, where she is responsible for The Walt Disney Company's entertainment and news television properties globally. Ms. Sweeney oversees the ABC Television Network, with series that are distributed to more than 230 territories across the globe by Disney-ABC-ESPN Television. Disney/ABC Television Group also comprises Disney Channels Worldwide, a portfolio of ninety-four kid-driven, family-inclusive entertainment channels and/or channel feeds available in 163 countries and thirty-two languages. She has held a variety of executive positions at the company, including president of ABC Cable Networks Group and Disney Channels Worldwide, president of Disney Channel, and EVP of Disney/ABC Cable Networks. Previously, she was chairman and CEO of FX Networks, Inc. and spent twelve years at Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite. She is a member of The Paley Center for Media’s Board of Governors.

Jeff Zucker

Jeff Zucker has served as president and CEO of NBC Universal, one of the world’s leading media and entertainment content companies, since February 2007. He has spent his entire career at NBC Universal, joining the company’s Olympic unit in 1986, immediately out of college. In his more than twenty-two years with the company, he has had a diversified career as an award-winning producer and business leader. His roles have included president of the NBC Universal Television Group, president of the Entertainment, News & Cable Group, and president of NBC Entertainment. He was also the youngest person to become executive producer of the Today show in 1992 at the age of twenty-six. A five-time Emmy Award winner, Mr. Zucker serves on a number of boards, including The Paley Center for Media’s Board of Trustees.
