In Person

Filmmakers Morgan Neville and Robert Gordon

Acclaimed filmmakers Morgan Neville and Robert Gordon’s latest documentary,  Johnny Cash’s America, is a journey through the life of the iconic Man in Black. They explore Cash’s many identities as a rebel, a patriot, a drug addict, a devout Christian, and of course, as “both the cowboy and the Indian.” Featured are fascinating interviews with those who loved and were inspired by Cash, including his manager, producers, and longtime band members, as well as famous friends like Al Gore, Merle Haggard, and Bob Dylan. Neville and Gordon also offer rarely seen gems, like clips of the never-broadcast pilot for the Johnny Cash Show and rehearsal footage from Cash’s time with the Highwaymen. Produced in association with A&E Television Networks and Sony Legacy.
