Journey with the Paley Center as we preview the SCI FI Channel’s new series Sanctuary, starring Amanda Tapping (Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis) as the enigmatic, 157-year-old Dr. Helen Magnus, protector of "abnormals" living secretly among us. (Note to the wise: You might want to keep a watchful eye on whomever you wind up sitting next to.) Adapted from the Internet-only show of the same name, Sanctuary premieres on SCI FI on October 3, but we have it first: Join us for a sneak peek of the pilot, plus an exploration of the show’s cutting-edge “green screen” technology, a trivia contest, and so much more.

  • Thank you for this opportunity to ask questions. I wish I could attend this event, but I'm in California. 1) For Amanda -- What was your favorite episode of Sanctuary's season one? And why? 2) For Robin - Will your character be taking martial arts training from Ashley? Weapons training? 3) For Damian -- You mentioned in an interview that the idea of Sanctuary was based from your love of comic books. What is your favorite comic book series, or graphic novel? 4) For Martin -- What was your favorite episode to direct in season one of Sanctuary? 5) For Sam - Which episode from Sanctuary's season one is your favorite that you've written? 6) For Amanda -- Has Olivia expressed any interest in acting?   • At last, got a question! For Amanda and Robin or the Panel: The web venture was so innovative; do you note any downside to moving to the hour format on television? Is it like moving from a studio apartment to a one bedroom where you have to really fill up the new space (every space)? Of course SANCTUARY's going to be a hit (I'm sold!) but just wondering if there's something you wish you still had, still could do, etc. Still giddy in New York City. CD

  • So excited to see the cast of Sanctuary! Here are some of my questions: (1) How long did it take you to get used to acting or directing in front of a green screen? (2) Amanda, any plans on directing any episodes? (3) To date, what has been the biggest challenge with shooting Sanctuary? (4) Looking back, was it easier or harder to use green screen? If you could start up the series again (from scratch), would you still use Green Screen? Can't wait to see everyone!!!!

  • I want to know, do they have planed a tip to the non English speaking Countries in Europe for Promotion and selling the Show. Would like to see the show at German Television!
