The Paley Center for Media’s annual television special this year is TV’s Greatest Surprises, a countdown of thirty of the biggest surprises in prime-time television history as ranked by television viewers, and hosted by Emmy Award–winner, Jeff Probst (Survivor).
Based on a survey by Nielsen Entertainment, the results will be revealed in a 90-minute special on June 16 (8:00–9:30 pm, ET/PT), on CBS. From Bobby Ewing's shower scene in Dallas to Dr. George O'Malley's shocking death on Grey's Anatomy, from American Idol to Saturday Night Live, from NCIS to The West Wing, from Dancing with the Stars to Deal or No Deal, this special will feature the most talked-about moments from comedy, drama, reality, variety, and game shows, and will include some of TV's biggest personalities, such as Tina Fey, Ellen DeGeneres, Howie Mandel, Chris Harrison, Arsenio Hall, Paul McCrane, Tom Bergeron, Aida Tuturro, Whoopi Goldberg, Paul Shaffer, Julie Chen, Regis Philbin, Patricia Heaton, Michael Weatherly, and David E. Kelley revealing what went on behind those surprising moments.
TV’s Greatest Surprises: A Paley Center for Media Special is being produced by Planet Grande Pictures in association with The Paley Center for Media. John Watkin and Eamon Harrington are the executive producers.

Due to my mistake with the DVR, my wife missed the last half hour of this program. Will it be aired again at a later date? Is it available for purchase or download? Is there a website where it can be watched? I'm in the doghouse over this one!

We were so disappointed that we turned it off. The clips were not long enough, and they could not be heard over Jeff Probst's constant yammering. Tobad, it could have an enjoyable show, even with the Oprah "surprise" ending.

I was really disappointed that Oprah's giving away the cars was the #1 surprise. While it was a big deal, many of the other surprises were more memerable.
