COUNT DUCKULA: NO SAX PLEASE, WE'RE EGYPTIANS {SERIES PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
The premiere of this series of animated programs featuring Count Duckula of Transylvania.
Count Duckula grows frustrated with his lot in life and plans on running away, prompting Igor to educate him about his ancestors. Meanwhile, a quartet of thieves named the Crow Brothers inspects Castle Duckula, planning to steal the valuable paintings within. However, their plans are foiled without the residents of the castle ever becoming aware of their presence. Igor explains that one of the Count's ancestor's was an Egyptologist who disappeared after encountering a pair of undead priests of the sun-god Ra within a great pyramid. Count Duckula's interest is piqued when he hears that his ancestor went there in search of a mystic saxophone, said to have power over life and death. Duckula believes he can become a rich and famous musician with the saxophone's aid, while Igor hopes that its dark powers will finally set the Count on the path of evil. Count Duckula at once teleports Castle Duckula to Egypt, accidentally taking the Crow Brothers along with him.
Duckula, Igor, and Nanny set off to explore the pyramid and the Crow Brothers decide to follow. The Crow Brothers attempt to set various traps for Duckula and his party, but they all backfire spectacularly. However, Duckula later succumbs to one of the pyramid's defenses and finds himself being readied for sacrifice by the undead priests. However, he is saved when they mistake Nanny for one of their deities. Eventually they find the saxophone and Duckula plays it, causing the mummies of the tomb to spring to life and start dancing. The episode ends as Duckula and his party miss the castle's teleportation back to Transylvania, leaving them stranded in Egypt. Commercials deleted.
