NYPD BLUE: THE BANK DICK (TV)
Summary
One in this series of rough-edged police dramas about the cases and private lives of the detectives and station house personnel of a Manhattan precinct. In this episode, a woman's rape matches the M.O. of a serial rapist and Russell, Simone, and Sipowicz -- sensitized to the issue by Sylvia's attack years before -- investigate. While the squad attempts to identify and locate the assailant, Sipowicz -- learning to "open up" at Sylvia's behest -- attempts to bring Russell's drinking problem to Simone's attention while asking Simone to be his best man and help Sylvia plan their big Greek wedding. Medavoy's wife announces she wants him back, and he is torn between his family and Donna, for whom he left in the first place. Simone tries to help John after he and his boyfriend Paul -- a closeted officer in another precinct -- are attacked by boys hired by Paul's fellow officers and Paul refuses to press charges. Commercials deleted.
