MR. SHOW WITH BOB AND DAVID: IF YOU'RE GOING TO WRITE A COMEDY SKETCH, YOU'RE GOING TO HAVE SOME RAT FECES IN THERE (TV)

Summary

One in this series of sketch comedy programs starring Bob Odenkirk and David Cross. In this episode, television tabloid show "Hard Scoop" uncovers Mr. Show's unsavory child-labor practices; billiards expert Van Hammersly advertises his series of video tapes using trick pool shots to dubiously teach academic subjects; proud, sensitive parents misguidedly insist their teenage son confront his homophobia and admit he is gay; new-age computer mogul Greg Sniper, inventor of the "delete" button, drives his staff crazy with his insistence that "work is play," his love of "imagineering," and compulsory Tofuti (a tofu-based ice cream substitute) breaks; a confused employee's fortunes capriciously rise and fall as a result of rampant "downsizing"; downsized executives are replaced with cheap third-world child labor; a senator proposes the selling of inessential states such as Utah to combat the national debt; and multi-national corporation Globo-Chem gives a presentation of its plans to turn the "scary" city of San Francisco into a family-themed amusement park.
