STUDIO ONE: THE DEAF HEART (TV)

Summary

One in this live dramatic anthology series. This drama examines the case of a young woman's apparently psychosomatic loss of hearing. Ruth Cornelius had been the only hearing member of her family, her parents and brother, Joe, being deaf. A team of doctors at a teaching hospital's psychiatric clinic believe her deafness has no physical cause. Dr. Huston and Dr. Franks, after learning more about Ruth and her family, conduct a dramatic demonstration to convince her that she can actually hear. Includes commercials, a promo for "The Prince and the Pauper," the following week's "Du Pont Show of the Month," and a promo for the forthcoming "Studio One" production "The Bend in the Road."
