MANUFACTURERS HANOVER BANK: CAR WASH {ART DIRECTORS CLUB, 1979: 58TH ANNUAL EXHIBITION, REEL 3 OF 4}

Summary

In this commercial for Manufacturers Hanover Bank, actor Tim Conway drives a beat-up, old jalopy into a car wash. When the proprietor informs him that the junkyard is across the street, Conway explains that he is having his car washed before selling it, adding that his new car loan was just approved by Manufacturers Hanover. "It looks like it took them twenty years to approve your car loan," says the proprietor. Conway remarks that it only took twenty-four hours. Slogan (supered): "Manufacturers Hanover. It's banking the way you want it to be."
