LOVE BOAT, THE: HIDDEN TREASURE / PICTURE FROM THE PAST / ACE'S SALARY {200TH EPISODE} (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series about the lives and romances of the passengers and crew aboard a luxury cruise ship, the Pacific Princess. An all-star cast, including Andy Warhol, Andy Griffith, and Milton Berle, helps the crew celebrate the ship's two hundreth voyage. In "Picture from the Past," Warhol, as himself, offers to select a passenger as the subject of his next portrait. Marion Ross plays a former Warhol superstar who fears the artist will recognize her and reveal her secret past to her disapproving, conservative husband, played by Tom Bosley. In "Hidden Treasure," an ex-con and his wife search for a rare postage stamp that was hidden on the Princess by his former cellmate. Destroying parts of the ship in the process, they cause particular grief to Gopher, who is being audited by a vengeful cruise line executive. To add to Gopher's troubles, Ace gets the crew worked up over salary discrepancies in "Ace's Salary." The episode features a performance of The Pointer Sisters' "I'm So Excited" by the Love Boat Mermaids and music by Peter Duchin and his orchestra. Includes commercials, promos and public service announcements. This program is closed-captioned.
