WAY OUT {'WAY OUT}: THE DOWN CAR (TV)

Summary

One in this fantasy/science fiction anthology series, hosted by Roald Dahl. In this episode, there has been a death in the offices of Ventry and Bayle, Importers. John Ventry has apparently taken his own life, and his partner, Nicholas Bayle, flashes back to the events leading up to Ventry's death. Bayle remembers telling Ventry about a major discrepancy in the firm's checking account, calling in an outside auditor to check the books, discovering that Ventry's name was signed on all the questionable checks, and confronting Ventry with this information. In the end, Ventry and Bayle discover that a partnership is very difficult to dissolve. Includes commercials and a promo. Commercials include the Limelighters for L&M cigarettes.

Cataloged in memory of Reuben Joseph, who shared this with his son.
