Summary
Ronald Reagan (1911-2004) was a masterful communicator who understood the power of radio and brought new vitality to weekly presidential radio addresses. Years before he was dubbed "The Great Communicator," Ronald Reagan had a successful career as a radio personality. His first job after college was as a radio sports announcer at WOC-AM in Davenport, Iowa. Although later Reagan became a Hollywood actor and made more than fifty films, he always returned to the medium that gave him his start -- radio. In this listening series, the Museum offers a radio drama, selected programs from his years as host of Hollywood Profile, and some of his key presidential radio addresses.
