CAROLINE'S COMEDY HOUR {CLINTON JACKSON; DAVID FELDMAN; BRUCE BAUM; JANEANE GAROFALO; BRIAN POSEHN} (TV)

Summary

One in this comedy series which showcases the talents of stand-up comedians, new and old. This show, hosted by Richard Jeni, features five comedians performing their routines. Before he brings out the first comedian, Jeni introduces the top-rated college performers of the year. They include "Banana Head"; Helen Boon, the vulgar grandmother; and Franklin "Dice" Roosevelt.

The first comedian on stage is Clinton Jackson, who offers humorous commentary on taking a ride in a New York City taxi; driving on the East Coast as compared to the West Coast; working at Burger King when he was younger; and why he'll never go horseback riding again.

The second comedian is David Feldman, who discusses the following topics, among others: ways to wipe out ethnic stereotypes; the elderly population in this country; people who are hearing impaired; and why nobody cares about Vietnam War draft dodgers, just the veterans.

Next up is a Caroline's favorite, Bruce Baum. Baum talks about taking his nephew to the hospital; all those commercials on television; catching bugs, but not killing them; a strange dream he had the other night; and the invention of a six-blade razor for men who want pure shaving satisfaction. He concludes by playing music with a couple of paper bags and the microphone.

The fourth performer is actress/comedienne Janeane Garofalo, who talks about what it is like living in Los Angeles; having her wallet stolen; telling the insurance company your car was stolen and that you paid full price for it; and her idea for an infomercial.

The last comedian to take the stage is Brian Posehn. In his laid back manner, he talks about spending his recent birthday with his family; shopping for a car; the way to deter carjackers; the difference between fighting with your best friend when you are both older compared to when you were children; and why he quit smoking marijuana. Commercials deleted.
