Summary
The season four premiere in this comedy series showcasing the many talents of actress/comedienne Tracey Ullman. Each episode "takes on" a particular subject, with the versatile Ullman portraying a wide variety of characters in a series of sketches. This edition begins with Ullman talking about her awkward dating life as a youth and features Ullman in, among others, the following segments: magazine editor Janie Pillsworth works on a "perfect date" article; caregiver Kay Clark talks about the practice of post-dating checks; lawyer Sydney Kross tries a dating agency, taping a video before the proceedings go sour; filming a movie scene, stuntwoman Rayleen Gibson demonstrates how to defend oneself from an aggressive dater; makeup artist Ruby Romaine talks about her daughter having dated a "Blackro-American," who was "no Denzel Washington"; neo-hippie Erin objects to Dusty going on a date; airline steward Trevor Ayliss talks about how the hustle dance craze was significant to his '70s dating life; Madam Nadja talks about what caused her to stop dating and run a Beverly Hills brothel; cabbie Chic talks about "keeping some babe happy" in the back of his cab; bigger-than-life actress Linda Grainger finds herself in the maiden voyage of a new limo where she rekindles romance with an old dating-show flame in a spoof of James Cameron's "Titanic."
