Cable’s Investigation Discovery – ID – has consistently presented hard-hitting, powerful coverage of true-crime cases since 2008, when it was an early leader in recognizing America’s infatuation with the genre. With its current offerings—On the Case with Paula Zahn, Scene of the Crime with Tony Harris, and Deadline: Crime with Tamron Hall—the channel provides viewers with valuable insights into the criminal investigatory process and the human cost of violent crime on not just the victims, but also their survivors. The Paley Center assembles a panel of ID hosts for an exploration of the professional, legal, and ethical challenges faced by journalists working in this genre. Henry S. Schlieff, group president of ID, Travel Channel, Destination America, and American Heroes Channel, will be on hand to introduce the event.
