Desperate Housewives

Apr 18, 2009
2:00 PM PT
Los Angeles

Please note that this event starts at 2:00 pm sharp.

Just as reinvention has been key to the enduring success of stars like Cher and Madonna, so has it been to the hit series Desperate Housewives, now in its fifth season. Creator and executive producer Marc Cherry has taken the story five years into the future and several roles have been reversed, yet the gold-star ingredients remain. Part satire, part farce, and only occasionally a full-fledged tragedy, the show’s pointed take on suburbia and mores and the unending surprises by the women (and men) of Wisteria Lane keep us devotedly tuning in on Sunday nights . . . and happily blogging away about it the next day. As a bonus, Cherry continues to raid the Sondheim songbook for clever episode titles. “What more do I need?”
