Frank Sinatra’s voice and manner embodied New York, the city that never sleeps. In celebration of a new boxed set Sinatra: New York, the Paley Center premieres one of the Chairman of the Board’s quintessential Manhattan appearances, his June 1980 concert at Carnegie Hall. Sinatra performs new material from his landmark Trilogy album, including “The Theme from New York, New York,” as well as such classics as “I’ve Got The World on a String” and “I’ve Got You Under My Skin.”  After the screening, friends and family will discuss Sinatra’s love affair with New York.

Copies of SINATRA: NEW YORK will be on sale to the public before and after the program. This five-disc (4CD/1DVD) boxed set from Reprise features all previously unreleased live performances of Ol’ Blue Eyes in “The Apple.” The collection highlights performances recorded between 1955 and 1990 at iconic New York City venues.
