The Paley Center for Media Announces Exclusive Media Partnership with CNBC for the 2014 Paley International Council Summit

NEW YORK, November 19, 2014 – The Paley Center for Media is pleased to announce that CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, will be the exclusive media partner of the 2014 Paley International Council Summit, which will be held at the Paley Center November 20-21. CNBC media and entertainment reporter Julia Boorstin will moderate a session with Debra Lee, Chairman and CEO, BET Networks, about creating programs that defy expectations and blaze new trails. CNBC will also be conducting interviews with various speakers on-site, broadcasting from the Paley Center lobby at 25 West 52nd St in New York. The media partnership will provide CNBC sole broadcast access to the Summit, and the right to post and promote content on CNBC.com and social media channels.

 

Paley IC2014: The Power of Storytelling will bring together some of the strongest and most influential talent and executives in media for the annual Summit. This insightful event plans to celebrate the industry’s legacy and discuss the changing ways in which we create, consume, and connect on a global scale through stories. The Summit will focus on storytelling in entertainment, news, advertising, sports, social media, gaming, and other key industries.

Some of the confirmed speakers and participants for IC2014 include: Award-winning actress Angelina Jolie; Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric; legendary television writer and producer Norman Lear; BuzzFeed Founder and CEO Jonah PerettiGrantland Editor-in-Chief Bill Simmons; HBO Chairman and CEO Richard Plepler; Cosmopolitan Editor-in-Chief Joanna Coles; Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos; Facebook Vice President of Partnerships Dan Rose; and AMC Networks CEO Josh Sapan.
