The Paley Honors Award, presented by The Paley Center for Media, is the organization’s highest honor. The Paley Honors recognizes individuals whose groundbreaking achievements in media have consistently set the bar for excellence.

The Paley Center is the world’s leading nonprofit cultural institution dedicated to preserving our media history and exploring media’s powerful shaping influence on culture and society. Proceeds from the Paley Honors support the organization’s educational programs and the ongoing preservation of the Paley Archive.

Bill Lawrence

Bill Lawrence is an award-winning television writer, producer, and director.

Through his production company Doozer Productions, Bill has a number of shows in various stages of production: Shrinking, which recently received seven Emmy nominations including Outstanding Comedy Series, just wrapped production on Season 3 which will stream on Apple TV+ in 2026; the untitled HBO comedy starring Steve Carell which has just wrapped production and will premiere in 2026; and Bad Monkey starring Vince Vaughn, also for Apple TV +, which will begin production on its second season this fall.

Additionally, Bill is a cocreator/executive producer of Ted Lasso, the two-time Emmy Award-winner for Outstanding Comedy Series, which is set to return for Season 4 on Apple TV +. He is executive producing the Scrubs reboot for ABC from 20th Television which recently received a series commitment and will be shooting this fall.

Bill previously created and executive-produced Scrubs and cocreated Cougar Town, Ground Floor, Spin City, and Clone High. Scrubs, which was twice nominated for an Emmy Award, was also named a Future Classic by the TV Land cable network and was the winner of both a Humanitas Award and an Imagen Award. Bill also executive-produced/supervised numerous shows under his Doozer banner including Whiskey Cavalier, Undateable, Nobody’s Watching, Surviving Jack, Head of the Class, and the Clone High reboot for HBO Max.

Earlier this year, Bill received the Writers Guild of America East’s Herb Sargent Award for Comedy Excellence at the 77th annual WGA Awards.

Bill currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife, actress Christa Miller (Shrinking, The Drew Carey Show, Scrubs); their daughter, singer/actress Charlotte Lawrence; and sons, Will and Henry.

Reba McEntire

Ynon Kreiz

Ynon Kreiz is chairman and CEO of Mattel, a leading global toy and family entertainment company and owner of one of the most iconic brand portfolios in the world. He joined the company as CEO in April 2018 and was appointed chairman of the board in May 2018.

Mr. Kreiz led a multiyear transformation strategy that established Mattel as an IP-driven, high-performing toy company. Under his leadership, Mattel has achieved significant improvements across multiple key financial metrics. The company ended 2023 with an investment grade rating and its strongest balance sheet in years. In 2023 Mattel was the #1 toy company in the U.S. for the thirtieth consecutive year, achieving its largest annual share gain in the U.S. on record.

Under Mr. Kreiz’s leadership, Mattel Films has announced fifteen motion pictures in active development with major studio partners. The company’s first movie, Barbie, became a cultural phenomenon, achieving the largest global box office in 2023 and the industry’s fourteenth-highest grossing movie of all time. The Barbie movie was nominated for eight Academy Awards including Best Picture, and received the Oscar for Best Original Song.

Mattel has a growing entertainment offering in television, consumer products, digital games, live events and experiences, publishing, and music.

Mr. Kreiz has had extensive experience as a corporate leader in the media and entertainment industry. Prior to joining Mattel, he was chairman and CEO of Maker Studios, a global leader in short-form video content and one of YouTube’s largest multichannel networks.

Prior to Maker Studios, Mr. Kreiz was chairman and CEO of the Endemol Group, the world's largest independent television production company and owner of major programming franchises including Big Brother and Deal or No Deal. 

Before Endemol, Mr. Kreiz was a general partner at Balderton Capital (formerly Benchmark Capital Europe), one of the leading early-stage startup investors in Europe.

Prior to Balderton, Mr. Kreiz cofounded Fox Kids Europe NV where he served as chairman and CEO. Under his leadership, Fox Kids became one of the fastest growing pay TV channels in Europe and the Middle East and operated pay TV channels across fifty-four countries.

Mr. Kreiz serves on the Board of Directors of Warner Music Group and is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Paley Center for Media. He is also a member of the AMPAS Executive Branch and was named one of TIME’s 100 Most Influential People in the World in 2024.
