Lost

Saturday, February 27, 2010
7:00 pm PT
Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills

In Person

Damon Lindelof, Executive Producer
Carlton Cuse, Executive Producer
Eddy Kitsis, Executive Producer
Adam Horowitz, Executive Producer
Liz Sarnoff, Executive Producer
And members of the cast to be announced.

Now in its sixth and final season, ABC’s Lost is sure to enter the pantheon of enduring episodic dramas, having forged a bond with critics and viewers redolent of such iconic “mythology” series as The X-Files and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. A breakout hit following its gripping two-part pilot in 2004, Lost invigorated prime-time network television and inspired a slew of mimetic high-concept sci-fi shows seeking to duplicate its virtuosic blend of B-movie thrills and completely addictive character drama. Alas, with the end in sight, we sadly anticipate life sans Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and the rest of the gang, even as we feverishly attempt to deduce once and for all what it all means, and how it will all end.

Lost is produced by Bad Robot and Touchstone Television.

Time permitting, we'll share some questions submitted online with the panelists. What would you like to ask them?

  • For anyone:

    1) If you were a shape, what shape would you be?

    2) If you could play any character on Lost other than the one you already do, who would it be and why?

    3) If you could write any scene for Lost, what would it be?

    4) What is the strangest question you've ever been asked in an interview?

    For Damon & Carlton

    1) Will we ever get a sex scene with Jack and Kate?

  • For the writing team:  Is the research for the things that support the scenes (such as the esoteric books being read by the characters) something that is ongoing or do you look for it specifically to support any given plot line?

  • The episode with Jack and his son, David, made me realize that I'm an asshole son to my mother.  She texts me, calls me, and even tries to add me on Facebook but I've always given her an attitude for as long as I can remember.  Because of this episode it makes me want to be more of a loving son to my mother.

To anyone: Have any of had any similar connections or been affected by any of the scenes you have shot?

  • You've been very forthcoming about your influences, but much like numerology, many people can find connections where none consciously exist. For example, I see the Dune novels by Frank Herbert as a source of inspiration for the series - have they been intentionally influential? If not, what are other examples of reviewers/theorists attributing connections to source material where no (intended) connection exists?

  • Please ask the panelists this one question..Who amongst them is the Andre Breton expert?..or...Have all of them had to research Andre Breton and the original Surrealists..inorder to do LOST?.. Isn't it about time, this far into LOST, that TPTB admit to the close ties LOST has with Surrealism?

    Thanks

  • I'll get to my question in a bit, I just have to thank everyone one of you for contributing to one of the most entertaining, fun, exciting, and epic televsion shows that has every been on the air. You are all incredibly gifted at what you do.

As for my question, this is for everyone, do feel that you'll be able to make an easy transition back into society after LOST?

Also, what hair care products does Jorge Garcia use in his hair to give it that volume?

    For Jack:

  • For Damon and Carlton,

    1) Why did Jack have a scar on his neck, does it have any significance ?

    2) Why did Jack and Kate experience some sort of a deja vu moment, yet in Locke's Flash sideways we didn't see this playing out among Hurley , Rose and Locke ?

    3) Is Desmond really a passenger on the Oceanic 815 flight?
or does he flash from another timeline ?

    Thank you so much !

  • In the episode "Namaste," Sun and Frank return to the Others village only to discover that it looked as if the Dharma Initiative had never left. There were still Dharma signs, and photos hanging in the run-down barracks.

What happened to change the barracks? Will this be explained? Does this mean the Purge never happened?

I'm about 99% certain if this question is presented to you at the panel discussion you will not answer it, but could you please find it in your hearts to throw me a bone here. Is it too much to ask that you can give this one wee little answer?

Thank you for your time, good sirs. Namaste.

  • For Damon and Carlton,

David is the only person that exists in the sideways, but not in the island timeline? Will we see David in some form in the island timeline?

During last seasons finale and the Lighthouse, you've made it obvious that Jack thinks it's over between him and Kate will Kate ever find out how Jack feels about their relationship, and that he blew up the island partly because of her?

Will you ever explain why Sun wasn’t flashed into 1977 with the others? Also, in 316, each Losties were suppose to be a proxy in order to recreate flight 815. Who was a proxy for whom?  For example, was Sun a proxy for  815’s Sayid? They both were on a journey to find a lost love.

So far in season 6, the fertility issues have not been addressed.  With Juliet gone, will the fertility issue ever be solved and will we learn the origins of the problem?

Is Kate in a gray T-shirt because she’s neither white nor black?

For the actors, On a scale to 1 to 10, 10 being the most. How confused are you about season 6?

For Naveen, what was your reaction to reading that Sayid would resurrect from the dead?
