Creepy, sexy, and often hilarious, True Blood has summoned up an alternative world as divided, melodramatic, and deeply political as contemporary America. Adapted from Charlaine Harris’s ongoing saga, The Southern Vampire Mysteries, creator Alan Ball has extended the vampire mythology into the realms of werewolves, shapeshifters, fairies, and witches. For three seasons, True Blood has brought an adult eroticism and campy fun to the supernatural genre, while pondering questions of community and identity. Its large, diverse cast and ambiguous depictions of sexuality have earned the series critical acclaim. The Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLADD) recognized True Blood as “the most inclusive program currently on television, featuring six regular and recurring LGBT characters.”

I'm the lady who gave Mr.Skarsgård the letter. While I tried to keep it light, standing in front of everyone was tremendously difficult and emotionally painful. My most sincere thanks to Mr. Skarsgård for his kindness and compassion.

To Alan Ball
The Authority gets its power from its total invisibility, the AVL from constant media exposure. Which kind of power would you rather have?

Bubba is a very significant character in Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels, and he happens to be a favorite of mine. Will he ever be appearing on True Blood?

Hi guys!
I would love to see some gusts appaer in the show such as David Boreanaz or the so British current Dr Who: Matt Smith. Is there any chance my wish could come true?
Who would YOU like to have as a guest star on the show for 1-2 episodes?
Cheers!

Charlaine gives us a whole book to really see a development between Sookie and Eric....the one where he is running naked down the side of the road with amnesia. Will we see something with more depth between Sookie and Eric?
Cris, March 03, 2011 at 12:11 pm
Having read all of the Sookie Stackhouse books so far, as I am certain many of your viewers have, there are undoubtedly lines and scenes from the book that beg to be adapted to the screen.
Especially some of the key elements between Sookie and Eric. Whether it be him telling her to "Yield to me" or the infamous shower scene. Will we see some of those key tie ins?

For Kristin Bauer van Straten,
From one Kristin to another, love your name - and you spell it correctly!
Anyway, one of my favorite aspects of Charlaine Harris' books is the friendship that develops between Pam and Sookie. Do you think/hope that we will see this friendship develop on True Blood?

Vampire and werewolf pairings are popular, Will we see such pairings in True Blood?

To Alan Ball:
How different is the pack master Raoul from packmaster General flood in terms of character?
