The Harmons see dead people. The exceedingly troubled family at the epicenter of this outlandish spine-chiller from FX—“arguably the season’s sexiest, scariest, strangest show,” per TV Guide—has moved from Boston to L.A., hoping to begin anew after a miscarriage and an affair, but their adopted home is a house of horrors flush with dead, tortured souls, all of the malevolent variety. The show, from Glee’s Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, was highly anticipated and hasn’t disappointed; three-plus weeks after its October premiere, trick-or-treaters were masquerading as one of its characters, the Rubber Man. Much credit goes to the cast, including Dylan McDermott and Connie Britton (the Harmons); Taissa Farmiga (daughter Violet); and Jessica Lange (their sinister and completely batty neighbor).

  • 1. Could the Constance/Antichrist Child storyline EVER come up in a future season? There seems to be so much left there.

    2. What will season 2 be about?

  • Question(s) for all cast members:

    1) Is there really some, if not any, good in Tate? As Ben said in the pilot, "Everyone can get better, Tate." But then again, on the season finale: "You're a monster, Tate!"

    2) What made Ryan and Brad come up with the creative idea for an anthology series?

    3) If Constance - er... untitled Jessica Lange character were to return, would there be a sliver of the Southern bitch that she was in the first season? Would love to see that.

    4) Will we see more monstrous creatures this season, but to another level (i.e., Rubber Man and the Infantata).

    p.s. I'm twelve-years-old. SHOCKER!!!!

  • For Jessica Lange:

First I would like to say that I remember being 11 years old and seeing you on the big screen in King Kong and being captivated by your performance and I have been following your career ever since so thank you for all the memorable performances.

Question:  In your opinion is the Character of Constance a truly evil woman or more a woman with a "troubled soul" and a tortured, dark and unfortunate past?  Thanks.

  • Three Questions for the Panelists:

    1) Why was the word "Taint" that Tate wrote on Violet's chalkboard rubbed out in the Halloween episodes? Who rubbed it out? And why?

    2) What was the true nature of Constance and Larry's relationship? Is Larry the "guy next door" Tate references in his very first session? And if so, did Constance begin the affair with Larry while she still lived in Murder House or did she start it for purely mercenary means when the Harveys took possession of the house?

    3) Why couldn't Tate get it up with Violet on the beach? Are the ghosts not allowed certain privileges (i.e. sex) outside of Murder House?

Thanks so much! Can't wait for the panel!

  • Question for Jessica Lange:

"I've heard actors state that when playing a character in the horror genre, they have to dig deep or go to a darker place in themselves for motiviation."  Did you find that the case in playing Constance?

  • The writing is incredible!!  I understand about the new characters, with the exisiting actors in the upcoming season.  MY ONLY request (or question) please let Jessica Lange continue to play "mean"!  She is a fabulous actress.  She plays evil so downright well!  Will Ryan and Brad tell us where the new house will be located?  or is it an Inn?

Also, THANKS for giving us a beginning to the end of a story in one season.  I love the concept.  Sometimes series drag out the suspense of a storyline,  for years, this was a great idea!!  Looking forward to the new season.

  • The question everyone wants to know. Will you ever return to the murder house? I fell in love with the characters and I still believe there is so much potential there. There are still so many unanswered questions fans are dying to know. Such as Ben and the red heads, how Constance moved to Los Angeles.. etc. Thanks, huge fan Jasline.

  • How often do different writers collaborate for certain characters or storylines? Is there one writer that specializes in Haden, Norah and Charles, Chad and Patrick, etc, or are all of you really that multitalented to come up with so many interconnected characters with such distinct personalities? As a writer I find that when I am involved with a group we each gravitate to a particular time frame or character development, I am just curious to know if those of you that get paid in real money do the same thing!

Also, how or why did you come up with the clothing/color scheme that defined both the characters and their particular association with the house? I noticed the stripes and the wall colors almost immediately, and thought I was just reading too much into it but it was BRILLIANT. The musical scores for each character were amazing as well, ( I miss the cello!)

All of you have given me something to look forward to during a very difficult time in my life, and I thank you forever for your gift. It also brought my daughter and I and most of her friends closer as a family unit (AHS party at my house every Weds!) At one time I believe I had 8 teenagers crammed into my very small living room!

  • I would like to know if a book series is in the works for each season's characters in the event that they cannot be incorporated into future episodes.I would purchase one or a series of books on the back history and continuation of Norah, The Harmons, Chad and Patrick and of course Tate and Violet. Do they ever reunite? Who is Constance's 4th child?

  • We have fallen in love with this cast of characters, Constance's clan in particular.  How or will you manage to incorporate their future storylines into the different seasons? Flashbacks, one episode per season, etc?
