Hamlet on a Harley? Really. Integrating provocative riffs on Shakespeare, creator Kurt Sutter has infused his dark biker series, Sons of Anarchy, with dramatic questions of rightful succession at an outlaw motorcycle club in Charming, a crazed fictional town in northern California. For four seasons Sutter, a former executive producer of The Shield, has explored loyalty and family with a frank narrative freshness as Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) realizes his father was murdered by strongman and former club president Clay Morrow (Ron Perlman), who then married his scheming mother Gemma (Katey Sagal). With masterful twists of deadly betrayal involving drugs and gun running, Sons of Anarchy has become the most-watched series in the groundbreaking FX universe of morally challenging dramas.

  • I have a few quick questions- the first one is how do you decide the locations of where you are going to film? In Season 4 you picked Simi Valley, which is my home town, what made you decide to film there and how did you finally decide on Tujunga as Charming?

The second one is will we ever see Zoebelle again?

And the final one is do you have any plans to keep the show going past season seven, or would you think of doing a movie for the show?

  • question is for Kurt. If FX didn't pick up the final seasons, would you have considered shopping the show to Showtime or HBO so you could be uncensored with the writing and violence? Judging from your vocabularly on your twitter, looks like you hold back on FX!

  • Does the cast have any thoughts or observations about how the show may have effected viewers' opinions about motorcycle clubs?; Specifically romanticising outlaw biker life, exposing laymen to the distinctive lingo and customs, and making the lifestyle seem sexy and exciting to normies who may want to play dress-up, get tattooed, buy motorcycles, and pretend to be badasses now that they've seen it on TV?

  • This question is for Maggie Siff, who better effing come to this: What is your biggest fear for Tara, as a character? What's the worst thing that could happen to her?

  • Which of the cast members knew how to ride before being cast on the show? What kind of training did the others have to do if they didn't know how?

  • Thus far, during Clay's time as president, we've only ever seen women in the chapel portion of the clubhouse in a medical capacity (Gemma helping Tara patch someone up).  That seems logical given the patriarchal structure of MCs.  However, during the finale, after Jax called church and had begun the service, so to speak, he invited Tara in without hesitation.  By inviting her into that hallowed space, is that symbolic of how their relationship will function now that he's president?

  • My question is for the entire cast: What has been your favorite story line so far and why? Also have you ever disagreed with Kurt regarding a story line?

  • I just want to know if i can go on a date with Charlie Hunnam? lol

  • This is for Her Magesty, the Magnificent Katey Sagal.  How in God's name did you manage to become MORE STUNNING and beautiful with age? I am younger than you and I am seriously jealous. Any beauty secrets you can share or is it just in your DNA?

Love you- for me, you make this show possible.  If they kill off your character we'll probably all quit watching The Sons.(and really, the "daughters" are the real brains of the group!) Thank you for coming back to us!

  • Season 3 episode 8.  A wannabe with a loaded pistol ran out on a protection detail.  Left his leather vest behind.  An old friend of the club died because of it.  A loose end to tie up in season 5 ??
