One in this series of comedy/variety programs. Host John Davidson is joined in music and comedy by comics George Carlin and Richard Pryor, the singing Everly Brothers, blonde vocal quintet the Five King Cousins, and the toe tapping of the Lively Set dancers. Highlights include the following: a comedy routine about life in New York City (Richard Pryor); the song "Hey Good-Lookin'" (by Davidson), a comedy skit between Davidson and George Carlin with the comic portraying an inept Hollywood agent; the song "Walk Right Back" (the Everly Brothers), "Mention My Name in Sheboygan" (sung by the Everly Brothers and Davidson), the tune "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever" (the Five King Cousins), a comedy routine about different kinds of laughter with Davidson, Carlin, and Pryor; the song "Nobody Knows You When You're Down and Out" (Pryor); the pop standard "Stardust" (Davidson); Carlin as Al Pouch, "the Hippy Dippy Mailman," who provides a confused retelling of the fairy tale "Jack and the Beanstalk"; a medley of "Cathy's Clown"/"Till I Kissed You"/"Bird Dog/"Little Susie"/"Bye Bye, Love" (the Everly Brothers with the Five King Cousins, Richard Pryor, and John Davidson), and Davidson performing bits of songs from the years 1930, 1938, and 1939, to recall the first time several older married couples in the audience began their courtship.
