CBS STORYBREAK: THE DOUBLE DISAPPEARANCE OF WALTER FOZBEK (TV)
Summary
One in a series of animated adaptations of children's books hosted by Bob Keeshan, better known as "Captain Kangaroo." This program is about a boy named Walter, who suddenly finds himself in a parallel universe where dinosaurs thrive and humans are extinct. Moreover, he seems to have switched places with a young dinosaur by the same name. Luckily, the other Walter has a cousin med Ralph, who behaves much like his cousin back home. The only difference is that he has a horn and a tail. Walter disguises himself as a dinosaur and the two "cousins" go to the library to research what has occurred. Unfortunately, all of the books on human beings are being looked at by a sinister professor named Heminglass. The librarian informs them that the only other books on human beings are in the home of the man who wrote most of them, Dr. Krebnickle. The pseudo cousins sneak over to the doctor's home and explain what has occurred. The doctor sets to work on the problem at once and asks Walter and Ralph to return to the library to get a book he needs. Unfortunately, on the way back, Walter is kidnapped by Heminglass, who wishes to make money by being the owner the last surviving human. It is up to Ralph to save Walter from his prison before poor Walter becomes a sideshow freak. Commercials deleted.
