Summary
A "Demonstration of Television Recording" presented by NBC for its affiliates. Begins with a technical explanation of TV followed by excerpts from past WNBT-TV (N.Y.) broadcasts: ventriloquist Paul Winchell; a comedy routine by pitchman Sid Stone; a dance routine; Shakespeare's "Henry V" with Sam Wanamaker; and a remote baseball broadcast from N.Y.'s Polo Grounds. Also included: pop singer Kyle McDonnell; Richard Harkness' 1948 interview with Taft-Hartley, co-sponsor Rep. Fred A. Hartley, Jr. (R-N.J.); and an excerpt from the first televised concert of Arturo Toscanini and the NBC Symphony Orchestra as they perform an excerpt from Wagner's "Die Walkure." Grauer closes.
