The Committee to Protect Journalists and the Paley Center for Media held a reception celebrating Rusbridger as CPJ's 2012 Burton Benjamin Memorial Awardee for lifetime achievement in the cause of press freedom on November 19th, 2012. The event included a conversation between Rusbridger and Jacob Weisberg, chairman and editor in chief of the Slate Group, on the challenges facing modern newsrooms.
