They don’t make ‘em like this anymore. Join us for a reexamination of this lavish 1978 television film (practically bursting with musical numbers) about the life and career of the legendary theater impresario Florenz Ziegfeld (1867–1932)—with a focus on his stormy relationships with his wives and mistresses. Starring Paul Shenar as Ziegfeld, and Samantha Eggar, Barbara Parkins, Valerie Perrine, and Pamela Peadon. Ziegfeld: The Man and His Women was written by Joanna Lee and directed by Buzz Kulik, with choreography by Miriam Nelson. (100 minutes)
This event is presented in conjunction with The Ziegfeld Society.
