New August Date to Be Announced

There’s no one quite like the Gabor sisters. It’s easy to dismiss their place in the pop culture pantheon as celebrity for celebrity’s sake, but Zsa Zsa and Eva Gabor conquered all facets of show business over the course of more than five decades at the pinnacle of glamorous popular entertainment. Each found acclaim on Broadway (Eva in The Happy Time and Zsa Zsa in 40 Carats), starred in classic motion pictures including Gigi and Moulin Rouge, and beginning in the 1950s, became a near constant presence on television. Though they were doing consistently notable work in a variety of media, their headline grabbing personal lives tended to eclipse their performing careers. Happily, much of the sisters’ frequent and fun work on TV—from the Texaco Star Theater and the Steve Allen and Jack Paar shows to Green Acres, The Late Show with David Letterman, and beyond—is archived in the Paley Center’s collection. We’re pleased to present a weekend’s worth of sparkling samplings of these Hungarian bombshells’ dramatic, talk show, and variety appearances.

These screenings are FREE.
