Summary
In this commercial for Sonny's Surplus stores, soldiers on the front in the Second World War are overjoyed to hear that "the war's over." While everbody else rushes off to the nearest town to celebrate, Sonny, the founder of Sunny's Surplus stores, starts gathering up all the surplus military equipment. "Sonny always knew a great bargain when he saw one," the announcer explains. "He still does." Slogan (supered): "Sonny's Surplus. World Peace means bigger savings for you." This ad was selected as a trophy winner at the 30th IBA Awards (Category 8: Humorous).
