GEORGE BURNS EARLY, EARLY, EARLY CHRISTMAS SPECIAL
(TV)
Summary
A Christmas special hosted by comedian George Burns. Burns begins with an opening monologue about the impetus behind doing an early Christmas special, and sings "Just Send Me One." Ann-Margaret arrives to sing "Hold Me, Squeeze Me," accompanied by the dance group Raw Silk. She does a comedy bit with Burns, and together they sing "You're Nobody till Somebody Loves You." Burns then does a sketch with the Playboy Playmates. Bob Hope does a monologue, and is soon thereafter accompanied by Burns. The Playmates sing "My Body Keeps Changing My Mind," and then Burns and the Playmates do a sand-dance to "I Ain't Got Nobody." Hans Conried appears in a sketch as Ebenezer Scrooge. The Hawkins Family sings "He'll Be There," followed by a medley with Burns. Burns invites his old vaudeville partner Billy Lorraine to the stage to sing "Old Times." Next is a brief sketch featuring Hope as Santa Claus, followed by Burns singing "Using Things and Loving People." The episode ends as Burns exits to the tune of "Jingle Bells." Commercials deleted.
