FAMILY MATTERS: HELL TOUPEE {SEASON FIVE PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about the Winslows, an African-American family living in Chicago next door to their annoying neighbor, Steve Urkel.
Even though Urkel is dating Myra, he still has feelings for Laura and asks her to go out with him in an exceedingly elaborate way. Laura still declines. Meanwhile Carl and Harriette argue about Carl’s hair loss, about which he is quite sensitive. In the school cafeteria, Myra arrives to bring Urkel lunch. He tells her he’s still in love with Laura but she doesn’t believe him, saying that Laura has somehow tricked Urkel into being infatuated with her.
In an effort to cover up his hair loss, Carl tries on toupees, although all of them make him look ridiculous. When Urkel sits down to lunch with Laura, Myra enters and the two of them get in an argument. Soon their confrontation turns physical when they splatter each other with food; when Urkel gets caught in the crossfire a food fight breaks out across the cafeteria.
Later, Urkel brings Myra to visit Laura and tries to get them to make peace. He announces he will still be dating Myra but will remain friends with Laura and pursue her given the slightest opportunity. He gets the two of them to shake hands, but it is clear that they still despise each other. Carl emerges wearing his new toupee, leaving Harriette a bit uncomfortable. Carl says he did it for her, but she admits that both of them are getting older, yet she likes him exactly the way he is. Comforted, Carl rids himself of his toupee. Includes commercials.
