WHAT'S MY LINE? {MYSTERY GUEST: SAL MINEO} (TV)

Summary

One in this series of panel game shows in which celebrity panelists engage in witty banter as they try to guess the unusual occupations of the guests. In this episode, host John Daly presides over a panel which includes actress Arlene Francis, comedian Ernie Kovacs, journalist Dorothy Kilgallen and theatrical producer Martin Gabel.

Employing only yes-or-no questions, they try to discover the vocations of Betty Ford from Pennsylvania, a bullfighter; and Helen Tyler of Denver, an instructor of a course for expectant parents. After donning blindfolds, the panelists then attempt to guess the identity of this week's mystery guest: actor Sal Mineo, who attempts to disguise his voice. The panelists are stumped by clues about the 18-year-old's acting and musical endeavors and they are unable to guess his identity. Next, time runs out before they can guess the profession of Barbara Kiernan of Massachusetts, a helicopter test pilot. The panelists then bid one another and the audience good night. Includes commercials.
