TALES FROM THE CRYPT: SPLIT PERSONALITY (TV)
Summary
One in this fantasy/horror series based on the 1950's classic comics. Jack, a con artist, is determined to hit a “big score.” He is also fascinated by twins and the number two. One day, as chance would have it, his car breaks down in front of a house belonging to April and June Dobbs, the twin daughters of a famous deceased architect. He manages to win over April and June and is dead-set on acquiring the family fortune, but it is split between the two of them. In order to acquire the entire fortune, Jack devises a scheme: he fabricates a lie about an often-absent twin brother of his own named Vic, and then poses as that brother. He is thus able to marry both twins and acquire the Dobbs family fortune. At first, Jack’s plan works perfectly and he enjoys his newfound wealth. However, the twins become suspicious when they notice a distinctive suntan marking on both Jack and “Vic’s” backs. Further investigation into Jack’s things reveals the truth, and the twins set upon getting revenge on Jack for his deception. Jack discovers through old newspaper clippings that the twins may have murdered their father. The twins knock out and restrain Jack, confessing to the murder of their father. They decide to resolve their problem with Jack by splitting him down the middle...literally.
