Summary
One in this series of comedy programs about the ever-dysfunctional Bundy family.
It's the holiday season at the Bundy household and everyone is miserable. However, Al has some good news: he put money in a Christmas club account some time ago and has gotten enough back to afford presents for the family this year. Everyone is ecstatic at the news. Steve and Marcy come to visit, and Steve announces he's spending Christmas with his domineering mother, much to Marcy's discontent. She was hoping to attend her office Christmas party at the bank with Steve; Peg advises her to go alone and enjoy herself regardless. That night, Bud, Kelly, and Peg each individually try to sway Al to spend the present money on them on not on the others. The next day, Peg, Kelly, and Bud contemplate getting Al a present in return.
Al has a series of antagonistic confrontations with mall Santas outside his store, eventually culminating in physical violence. He is about to leave for Marcy's bank to get his Christmas club money, but is delayed by several elderly, slow-moving customers. He finally gets to the bank only to find that the party is in full swing and Marcy is too inebriated to let him in. The bank closes and Al, dejected, returns to the mall. He gets the idea to watch children for parents who want to shop unimpeded, but he is assaulted by the parents when they discover he has tied up the children. Al is left alone in the shoe store as the mall closes, tied up and without any money for presents. Continues in B:52055. Commercials deleted.
