This episode is hosted by singer and songwriter Paul Anka. He first talks about Elton John, performing “Bennie and the Jets” and “Your Song.” Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons play a medley of their songs, including “Sherry,” “Walk Like a Man,” and “Bye Bye Baby (Baby Goodbye).” The Bee Gees perform “Run to Me,” followed by Helen Reddy singing “Delta Dawn.” Anka then introduces Joan Baez, who sings “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down” and a cover of Bob Dylan’s “Simple Twist of Fate.”
Anka commemorates the late Jim Croce, showing a recording of him performing “Bad, Bad Leroy Brown.” Peter Frampton comes on the show to sing “Show Me the Way.” A music video of “Hey Jude” by The Beatles is played, as is a recording of Anka’s “Put Your Head on My Shoulder.” There is also a music video of The Carpenters singing “Please Mr. Postman.” Anka then introduces Chuck Berry, who sings “Maybellene.”
Afterwards, Anka introduces Herman’s Hermits, singing “I’m Henery the Eighth, I Am” and “Mrs. Brown, You’ve Got a Lovely Daughter.” Chubby Checker then appears to sing “The Twist.” Anka then shows a clip from the film “Rock Around the Clock” featuring Bill Haley and the Comets performing “See You Later, Alligator.” Berry appears again to sing “Sweet Little Sixteen,” then a music video of Elvis Presley’s “Don’t be Cruel” is shown. The episode ends with Frampton performing “Baby, I Love Your Way.” Commercials deleted.
