COSBY: MY SPY {SEASON FOUR PREMIERE} (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series about Hilton Lucas, who finds himself retired after his job at the airport is eliminated.
Hilton falls asleep while watching a marathon of the television program “I Spy.” He has a dream wherein he encounters the “I Spy” character Kelly Robinson, who claims that Hilton is his partner Alexander Scott. He convinces Hilton that his life in Queens has all been part of an elaborate long-running undercover operation. Together they travel to Hong Kong in order to track down a secret document which was stolen by a hostile party. Pauline appears as “Natasha,” an enemy spy, and the two of them try to extract information from her. Their progress is stymied since Kelly seems to be under the impression that Hilton can speak Chinese despite his insistence that he cannot. Ruth appears as “Constance,” a mysterious woman, and recaptures the clue they secured from “Natasha.” They are confronted by thugs looking to beat them up, but suddenly Erica appears in a wedding veil pleading for help organizing her wedding reception. He asks her to leave him to his dream.
Kelly and Hilton are captured and brought before Griffin, playing the part of “General Dread,” a foreign dictator of ambiguous nationality. He threatens to kill them and locks them back up, leaving for the airport to receive the stolen secret. Kelly asks Hilton to make a bomb in order to destroy the door, although Hilton has no idea how to do so. Erica appears again, still asking for advice about her upcoming wedding. He uses her presence as an opportunity to help pick the lock to the door. They arrive at the airport at a baggage claim conveyer belt and await the bag which supposedly contains the secret they are after. Erica appears again and Hilton grows concerned about her. Before he can react he and Kelly get into a fight and “General Dread” seemingly escapes with the bag, but it turns out he grabbed the wrong one and Kelly and Hilton find the correct one. Inside is a fortune cookie with a fortune reading “you are only as happy as your unhappiest child.” Hilton realizes that he must attend to Erica’s concerns and bids farewell to Kelly. Hilton wakes up and tries to explain his dream to Ruth before Erica comes in, frantic about the many preparations for her wedding. He and Ruth decide to take her out to feed the ducks in an effort to calm her down. Commercials deleted.
