ALIAS: S.O.S. {PART 1 OF 2} (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic action series about CIA double agent Sydney Bristow and her adventures with her colleagues and her enemies. In the first half of this two-part episode, on the cargo ship, Sydney uses the radio to send out a distress call, pursued by Kelly and experiencing trouble with her pregnancy. Elsewhere, Jack realizes that Prophet Five has Sydney and Marshall picks up her transmission and attempts to track it, but it is quickly cut off. Jack tells the others that her message was purposefully deleted by someone at Langley, meaning that a mole is working with Prophet Five and that they must break into CIA headquarters to retrieve it. Sydney captures Kelly, who tells her that her message was intercepted, though Sydney refuses to believe that they have an asset inside the CIA. Marshall and Dixon pose as tourists at the CIA as Tom distracts a payroll officer and Rachel plants her cell phone with security. Tom gets the necessary access code as Marshall and Dixon fake an anthrax scare, and when Rachel discovers that Sydney's message has been purged from the system, Jack orders her to pull the hard drive, setting off alarms and causing a lockdown. In desperation, Jack calls Weiss, now working for the National Security Council, and he helps to extract the agents and asks them to keep him updated on Sydney.

On the freighter, Kelly observes that Sydney is in distress, and Sydney realizes that her own ultrasound is projected on the monitors before she collapses. She awakens to find herself strapped to various monitors and learns that a doctor is coming. Marshall works to crack the hard drive and finds that whoever deleted Sydney's call has "alpha black" security clearance, held by only seven high-ranking members of the CIA. He explains that the mole could be traced through their secure cell phone, so Jack heads to D.C. and calls an operations meeting with the seven officers in question, calmly explaining the situation as Marshall scans for the mole's phone and then calls it. When Director Davenport's phone rings, Jack immediately shoots him and demands Sydney's whereabouts, and he confesses about the freighter before Jack is arrested. Elsewhere, Tom uses Marshall's decryption program to look up information about Allen Korman, and Marshall tracks down the cargo ship's location.

Tom and Dixon head out on a helicopter as Sydney is prepped for surgery, shocked to recognize Dr. Lynn. Kelly learns of the agents' imminent arrival and tells the doctors to hurry, as they now have limited time. The chopper lands on the freighter and the agents find that it has been abandoned, though Dixon finds a groggy Sydney in the infirmary and quickly takes her to safety. Later, Sloane speaks with a Prophet Five member on the phone, who berates him for not alerting them to the CIA's actions sooner, threatening Nadia's life and reminding him that they "own" him. Marshall tells Rachel about Tom's secret hunt for Korman, his wife's killer. Tom finds the man, who calls him "Peter" and swears that he was under orders, but Tom tells him that he has a message for "the Cardinal." Jack visits Sydney in the hospital and tells her that her baby is fine, explaining that the Prophet Five surgeons actually saved her for unknown reasons by repairing a placental abruption. Jack is then led away by a guard, much to Sydney's confusion. Includes commercials and promos.
