GEORGE LOPEZ: GEORGE THINKS VIC'S FIANCÉE IS LION ABOUT BEING A CHEETAH (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series, set in Los Angeles, in which comedian George Lopez plays family man "George Lopez." In this episode, Vic and Lindsay decide to move up their wedding, but Angie, still uncomfortable with her father's hasty marriage to a much younger woman, declines their request to plan the event. George tries to assure Vic that Lindsay genuinely loves him, though this backfires when Vic, overcome with romance, tears up the pre-nup. George and Angie question Lindsay about her feelings for Vic, trying to determine if she is truly interested in more than just his money, and Angie is soon convinced of her sincerity, though George is sure that she is lying. He tries to prove his point by calling the battered-women's shelter where Lindsay claims to volunteer and triumphantly reveals that they have never heard of her, but Lindsay angrily explains that lied about the shelter because she has been taking secret Spanish lessons to please Vic, and Vic orders his son-in-law to stop meddling.
George shares his doubts with Ernie and Benny over a game of poker, and when Benny speculates that Lindsay is seeing other men, Ernie tells George to contact the TV show "Cheaters" to prove the point. George ends up telling the dubious producer that Lindsay is his own possibly-unfaithful fiancée, and the camera sets out to follow her and then returns to the Lopez home with the footage. On camera, George tells his "sister" Angie about the scheme, and though Angie is affronted by his machinations, the crew soon reveals that Lindsay is indeed stepping out on Vic. As they ponder how to break the bad news, Vic arrives and explains that his ex-wife Emilina, who also cheated on him, has expressed a desire to get back together. He wonders how he will choose between the two women, but George gently tells him about Lindsay and a saddened Vic decides that he is meant to be with Angie's mother, with whom he shared many happy years before her affair.
