BLONDIE: BLONDIE'S CHRISTMAS EVE (RADIO)
Summary
One in this comedy series based on Chic Young's popular
comic strip about the life of offbeat accountant Dagwood
Bumstead, his wife Blondie, and their two children --
Alexander and Cookie. In this episode, Dagwood and
Blondie are going to a Christmas party being held at a
club where Mr. Dithers, Dagwood's boss, is a member.
The Bumsteads have to bring over a box of toys put
together by Mr. Dithers for needy children. Blondie and
Dagwood accidently discover that the gifts wrapped by
Mr. Dithers reflect his tightwad personality and are not
at all appropriate for children. They decide to give up
their own presents so that the children may have a good
Christmas. Meanwhile, Mr. Dithers is shocked and
dismayed to discover that a man he needs to impress to
get into the Manufacturers' Club is going to be at the
party. He fears his miserly gifts will reflect poorly
on his image. Includes commercials and public service
announcements.
