Summary
Part six of this eight-part radio series recalling the news, music, and popular culture of the World War II period. This program concentrates on the year 1943, when American men struggled overseas and American women entered the domestic work force in great numbers to buoy the war effort. Stories of life during wartime are interspersed with period songs and excerpts from the writing of James Jones.
