LUCY SHOW, THE: LUCY GOES TO A HOLLYWOOD PREMIERE (TV)
Summary
One in this comedy series starring Lucille Ball as Lucy Carmichael. In this episode, Lucy's neighbor Mrs. Foley is moving, so she offers celebrity-obsessed Lucy her job -- selling maps to movie stars' homes. Lucy goes to Mrs. Foley's Beverly Hills street corner, only to find it's already been taken over by another map seller. When Mr. Mooney finds out Lucy is moonlighting from the bank, he explodes -- then finds himself getting booked by the police for illegal peddling. Anxious to go to a Hollywood premiere that night at the Taj Mahal Theater, and with no legitimate options, Lucy has to engage in a little skulduggery to accomplish her goal. At the premiere, Lucy runs into such celebrities as Vincent Edwards, Edward G. Robinson, and Jimmy Durante as hijinks ensue. Commercials deleted.
