Summary
The American premiere of this series of spy dramas concerning the adventures of John Drake, special security agent for the British government. In this episode, Drake is sent to the French Riviera to investigate the theft of confidential documents from a chemical plant. Posing as a reckless playboy, Drake insinuates himself into the company of his primary suspect, a wealthy, reclusive financier named Kent. To trap Kent, Drake offers to sell him a phony atomic formula, hoping to capture the transaction on film. Kent, for his part, has his doubts about Drake's claims, and assigns his accomplice, Martine, the task of spying on Drake and assessing his trustworthiness. As Drake and Kent scrutinize each other's activities, the distinction between predator and prey become blurred. Commercials deleted. The UK air date of this episode was December 1, 1964.
