Summary
One in this comedy series about the wholesome Stone family of Hilldale: pediatrician Alex, homemaker Donna, and their teen-age children Mary and Jeff. This episode features Buster Keaton as accident-prone mechanic Mr. Turner. Donna and her friend Midge Kelsey fall victim to the myth of female drivers when Midge borrows the Stones' car for a trip to the market. Midge returns the car unscathed, but its fender is crushed moments later by a passing delivery truck. Donna and Midge, certain that they will be unfairly blamed, try to have the car repaired before their husbands return from work. Mr. Turner succeeds, despite the concerned women's incessant interference. Nonetheless, their ruse is discovered, and Alex and Dave Kelsey predictably assume their wives are at fault -- until a confounding series of coincidences proves to all concerned that seeing is not always believing, and that females hold no monopoly on bad driving. Commercials deleted.
