AMERICAN PLAYHOUSE: THE LITTLE SISTER (TV)

Summary

One in this dramatic anthology series. This program concerns Nicki Davis, a bright high school student in the Boston suburbs, whose involvement with a group of delinquents brings her into conflict with the law. Tim Donovan, a probation officer, attempts to understand the source of the young woman's erratic and dangerous behavior and learns that she has a possessive and overprotective father. Donovan's professional interest develops a more personal dimension as Nicki slowly reveals the terrible family secret that she has been forced to conceal. This feature presentation is followed by "Rosey and Jonesy," a short film about two retired plumbers. Includes a promo for the "American Playhouse" production, "The House of Ramon Iglesia." (Due to the disturbing subject matter, a discretionary viewing statement precedes the program.)
