THIRTYSOMETHING: SECOND LOOK (TV)
Summary
One in this series of dramas about the personal and professional dilemmas confronting a close-knit group of friends -- urban baby boomers in their thirties -- living in Philadelphia. In this episode, Nancy undergoes second-look cancer surgery as she, her family, and her friends await her medical prognosis. Nancy is hopeful, but shares her private fears about the biopsy with Gary when he comes to borrow children books for a course he is teaching. Elliot maintains a bedside vigil for his wife, and when she receives the best possible news, her elated family and friends gather at the hospital for a party. Michael worries, however, when Gary is late to the gathering on a stormy night. Michael calls home to check his answering machine messages and learns that Gary has been killed in an automobile accident. This program is closed-captioned.
