Summary
One in this series of variety programs hosted by Playboy
magazine editor/publisher Hugh Hefner in a party setting
at a Chicago penthouse. In this program, comedian Bob
Newhart performs a driving instructor skit; Broadway
star Larry Kert sings "The More I See You" and "I'll
Take Romance"; singer/guitarist Josh White performs
"St. James Infirmary," "Nobody Wants You When You're
Down and Out," and "Jelly, Jelly, Jelly"; and Belgian
singer/actress Monique Van Vooren sings "Mon Homme
(My Man)" and "Pour Un Dollar" ("For One Dollar") in
mixed French and English, as well as "Bewitched,
Bothered and Bewildered." Van Vooren also interviews
Hefner and the show's associate producer, Victor Lownes
III, about Playboy magazine. They discuss how Hefner
started the magazine, Playboy's expansion through jazz
festivals and clubs, how Playmates are selected, and
Marilyn Monroe, who was the very first Playmate.
